Selwyn House Curriculum - page 9

We nurture and encourage the girls to be
young women of self-worth, along with
preparing them for a smooth transition to
secondary school. Our approach is designed
to differentiate and enhance the capabilities
of each year group. We have specialist
teachers in performing arts, music, PE, art
and Spanish.
Smaller classes, together with input from
our resident psychologist, Gifted and
Talented Co-ordinator, Learning Support
Teacher and various small group activities,
help to cater for the individual needs of
our girls. We provide a comprehensive
programme for learning support and
extension, depending on the student.
Progress is monitored regularly through a
range of assessment tools including testing,
and samples of work.
Opportunities Abound
Our goal is to ensure that all the girls learn to be their best within a
setting that encourages a high level of engagement, understanding,
collaboration and reflection.
