One of the many great things I have learnt
recently at St Andrew’s is that the College’s
founding principles of Truth, Excellence
and Faith remain at the forefront of all our
objectives, relevant to today’s vision: Truth in
everything we do; Excellence in leadership,
teaching, tuition, coaching and care; Faith in
God, country, family, each other and ourselves.
The College strives to educate the young
people entrusted to our care to be all-round,
well-balanced and well-prepared citizens.
Our founding principles and the students
who leave St. Andrews are the guiding
lights by which the College is judged.
Today’s students at St Andrew’s have a
great deal of choice. They choose from a
breadth of academic subjects, a multitude
of sporting options, and a range of cultural
activities that together shape their
educational and social experiences.
Everyone participates and this is what creates
the busy and alive College community. The
array of musical performances, sporting
exchanges, and outstanding results in all
of these fields of endeavour are due to the
commitment of teachers, staff, students,
and families who put their energy and
passion into the many facets of school life.
As Chairperson of the
Step Into Our Future
fundraising campaign, it is my hope that
everyone will participate with this fundraising
effort to support the St Andrew’s College
Foundation and to build the new Chapel and
Sports and Cultural Centre. Between now and
the centennial celebrations in 2017 each of
you is invited to be a part of what is already an
historic fundraising success at St Andrew’s.
No matter your age or situation in life there
is a place for everyone because we are
committed to the College’s ethos of valuing
every individual. Join the Year 1 students who
are putting their spare coins into cardboard
bricks, the university students who are donating
the cost of a cup of coffee each week, or the
retiree who is making a once in a lifetime gift.
Your participation counts and together we
can ensure that we all
Step Into Our Future
together for the people of St Andrew’s
College and for our community at large.
