ISSUE 31 | OCTOBER 2014
Dear Past Pupils
Thank you for your loyal support, our
organisation has almost completed its 66th
year.
Sister Pauline O’Regan has celebrated her
93rd birthday; thank you for all the years
you gave to Villa Maria College Sr Pauline.
The Association has hosted our annual
Mid-Winter Luncheon at Rosebank. Thank
you to those who attended. These events
are wonderful for keeping in touch.
As we go to print, Mercy Celebrations Top
of the South will have been. Next year’s
event will be held in Blenheim, Mass at St
Mary’s, Maxwell Rd. We are now including
all Mercy girls from Nelson, Marlborough
and Tasman areas and even some from
West Coast.
Our Biennial meeting is on 30 October
in the Villa Pauline O’Regan library. A
light supper will be served and election of
Officers will take place. Our team is not
seeking re-election this term. I know I speak
for all of us when I say that we have enjoyed
our time in these positions. God bless to the
new officials.
The morning after the Biennial meeting is
the Villa Leavers’ Morning Tea where we
cater for the Year 13’s and wish them well
on their journeys beyond Villa.
This will be my last report as President. It
has been a joy and a privilege returning to
Villa these last years and taking part in prize
giving’s etc. I’ve enjoyed seeing the lovely
young girls growing into beautiful Mercy
women and assisting with the events.
Thank you and God bless.
Madeleine Hoadley-Currie
