to engage with their responsibilities as citizens in the

society, in a New Zealand context, that embraces the
principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the unique
place of Maori;

A rich and engaging co-curricular experience that
develops resilience and wellness and celebrates
individual and collective excellence;

unique talents and personality of individuals,
develops resilience and emotional intelligence in all
students;

a) WE WILL:
i)
Provide academic and service opportunities through
development of local, national and global partnerships
with businesses, community service and not-for-profit
organisations;
ii)
Ensure students have opportunities to experience
different cultures and languages.
b) WE WILL:
i)
Encourage a more diverse student and staff
population, supported by a community that
understands and reflects different dimensions of
diversity including race, ethnicity, gender,
socio-economic status, physical abilities and
religious beliefs;
ii)
Deliver a curriculum that encourages diversity of
thought and considers our community from a
global perspective;
iii)
Recognise and celebrate the unique New Zealand
culture and language, equipping our students to
contribute to our bicultural heritage in their lives
beyond school.
c) WE WILL:
i)
Have a rich and diverse co-curricular programme
that includes a unique outdoor education experience
and inspires all students to be involved, supports the
College mission and builds spirit and community;
ii)
Deliver a sports programme that is recognised for
its focus on producing excellence in target sports, its
encouragement on participation, developing skills at
all levels and emphasis on living a healthy lifestyle;
iii)
Have a cultural programme that integrates aspects
of the performing arts and provides a widely
celebrated opportunity for growth of individual and
collective talent.
