ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
NCEA Level 2 Visual Arts is essential.
CONTENT
Subjects offered are Design and Painting.
Each is a separate subject.
You will study a course of Level 3
Achievement Standards totalling 22 credits for
Design and 18 for Painting
The courses include:
- Design – Internal/external standards
based on student initiated work.
- Painting – Based on a theme of
landscapes or student initiated work

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
12 credits in NCEA Level 2 English
CONTENT
The area of study for 2015 will be Italian
Renaissance art “Late Renaissance to
Mannerism”. This is an interesting period
covering many of the great minds and thinkers
of the time.
Eight particularly famous artists will provide
the structure of the course and these include:
- Botticelli
- Leonardo da Vinci
- Michelangelo
- Raphael
- Titian

NCEA Level 3 credits from external and
internal achievement standards.
QUALIFICATION GAINED IF STANDARDS
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
There are 32 credits in NCEA level 3 Art
History from which students can choose.
