This course offers Level 2 Tourism unit

standards.

Unit Standards:

- Work roles in tourism

- World tourist destinations

- The business of tourism

- New Zealand tourist destinations

- Tourist characteristics and needs

- Read and comprehend work-related text

HOW THE COURSE IS ASSESSED

The course is all internally assessed by unit

standards which are in the form of tasks to be

completed over the year. National

assessments are set by the New Zealand

School of Tourism.

QUALIFICATION GAINED IF STANDARDS

SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

Up to 23 credits in NCEA Level 2

Credits count toward the New Zealand

Certificate in Tourism (Introductory skills)

(Level 2)

assessments are set by the New Zealand

School of Tourism.
