The syllabus is divided into five themes
- Natural events: Canterbury earthquakes
- Sustainability: The Maldives
- Spatial analysis: Canterbury earthquakes
- Research: Weather patterns
- Geographic skills and ideas

You will be working toward attaining Level 1
NCEA Achievement Standards
3 internally with a mixture of standards
2 externally assessed
QUALIFICATION GAINED IF STANDARDS
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
Up to 18 credits in NCEA Level 1
These credits include Level 1numeracy and
literacy credits
WHAT WILL IT COST
Cost of bus and entry to Quake City for
natural events field trip will be approximately
$15 (TBA)
