Students are able to make up to three
products in this course.
Assessment is based on practical skills and
evidence presented in a portfolio.
Content includes:
- The beginnings of fashion
- Why we make garments the way we do
- How to make quality garments
- What makes garments work
HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED
Assessments are a mixture of internal and
external achievement standards. The written
reports qualify as literacy credits in some
standards.
QUALIFICATION GAINED IF STANDARDS
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
NCEA level 1 20 credits
