One year ago, we launched
our fundraising campaign
whereby we invited everyone
that is part of the St Andrew’s
College Community to
‘Step Into Our Future’.
A lot happens in a year in a busy
community such as St Andrew’s and it has been a great
privilege to work alongside the Board of Governors,
the Rector, the College staff, parents, students and Old
Collegians towards achieving the objectives of the campaign
which culminates in our Centenary celebrations in 2017.
The Board of Governors have defined very clear objectives
for the campaign and these continue to be our guiding
principles as we end 2015 and continue our work over the
next couple of years.
These objectives are as follows:
Philanthropic Culture and Community
To continue to grow the culture of philanthropy across the
generations from students, parents, alumni and friends,
which will help to underpin the long term sustainability and
success of St Andrew’s College as an independent school;
To improve the lifelong connection between the College and
all of its constituents, particularly the alumni community.
Building Projects
To undertake the construction of a new Chapel to replace the
original Memorial Chapel destroyed in the 2011 earthquake;
To build a renovated and expanded Sports and Cultural
Centre to meet classroom and facility demands for a College
that has doubled in size since the original gymnasium and
theatre complex was built.
Endowment (through the St Andrew’s College Foundation)
To allow further contribution towards scholarships for
students.
To have available funding for the investment in and support
of all educational objectives.
Through your generosity more than $4 million
in gifts and
pledges have so far been received and we are therefore well
on our way to reaching our campaign target of $10 million by
the Centenary.
The support and involvement of our whole community is
vital to the success of both the Centenary and the campaign.
To that end we thank all of you who have pledged or given
a donation, bought a cookbook -

Kitchen
or have brought in your brick donation boxes filled
with your spare change. Every little bit helps the College and
the future generations that follow us.
I wish you all a happy holiday season and look forward to
working further with you all as we all get connected, be a
part of history and together ‘Step Into Our Future’.
