Level 1 Drama

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Year 10 Drama is preferable but not essential

CONTENT

- Building confidence and ease with public

presentation

- Developing performance skills

- Performing a role in a production for

friends, family and public audience

- Applying techniques of voice, gesture,

movement and use of space to create

effective and entertaining performance

work

- Collaboratively creating an original

performance using text, dance, singing,

poetry, original dialogue and movement

- Exploring theatre history and performing

in a particular theatre form

- Viewing, analysing and responding to

live professional theatre performances

- Developing and practising

communication skills

HOW THE COURSE IS ASSESSED

Achievement standards 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.7

QUALIFICATION GAINED IF STANDARDS
