The
The talent, poise and polish of various
StAC music groups was shared in
a celebration of excellence at the
Transitional Cathedral in September.
An audience of more than 400 people
watched performances involving
mostly Secondary School students,
although the 60 piece orchestra
included students from Years 4–13.
Among the many highlights were Isaac
Shatford’s original composition, which
was beautifully sung by Harry Grigg
and accompanied by the orchestra and
was a real crowd pleaser, and StAC’s
medal-winning jazz bands. Frances
Campbell also performed her witty,
clever and national award-winning
original composition, inspired by the
witches in
MacBeth
.
Congratulations to Duncan Ferguson
and his dedicated team of music
staff who did such a great job of
co-ordinating this inspiring
programme.
