Hot on the heels of last year’s
revamped Dance Revue, this year’s
performance showcase was a slick
and enjoyable treat for all. Co-leaders
of dance Hannah Oakley (Jazz) and
Grace James (Hip Hop) worked with
more than 30 Secondary School
students to pull together a wide range
of dance including contemporary, hip
hop, tap and highland.
Performances were a mix of individual
performers and groups from the
greater StAC dance community.
Choreography was a mix of tutor and
student-led work. The event aims to
give Dance, which is a co-curricular
activity, more of a profile at the school.
The performances, which featured the
talented dancers of StAC Secondary
Dance as well as some special guests,
enjoyed two packed out evenings.
Grace James says the students
brought commitment and
determination to every rehearsal.
“I absolutely loved their passion for
dancing and their way of performing
for the audience. I think what made
this event successful was the energy
and enthusiasm we shared.”
